Is that a bruise as well as redness? Mine went red like that after both first doses of Pfizer, but I didn’t bruise. It lasted a few days.

Did they use an air gun to do it?

Do you think it's infected? Draw a ring around that? Sore x

Opal8 · 13/11/2021 14:38

Yes I think it's bruised too
It bloody hurt when she did it too
I've got ds1 to draw a ring round it

I'm not sure it's the contents of the injection...more like bad technique? There shouldn't be blood. It's not meant to get into the bloodstream. Did the vaccinator not aspirate to make sure they hadn't hit a blood vessel? I'm guessing not

My Pfizer vaccination was painful at the time of injection - unlike the Area-Zenica ones. And my arm and injection site were painful and red for a few days.

@morticiamarkle
They are instructed not to aspirate despite considerable evidence that the side effects seen (blood clots, cardiomyopathy) are caused by inadvertent intravascular injection. Several papers have shown the exact same side effects in mice as seen in humans for each vaccine type when given intravascularly.

I would keep a very close eye out for cardiac side effects if there was substantial bleeding afterwards.
