I work in higher education & should be delivering face to face sessions soon, starting next week. After testing positive for Covid, I was admitted to hospital nearly two weeks ago because of very painful and unexplained head and neck ache. A battery of tests later, and I was discharged.
Recovery is slow. I'm very, very tired and very weak and feel as though a cold is brewing. I know I should tell work that at best I can teach online next week. I don't want to rush things at this point but there won't be much sympathy and re-organising the sessions will cause difficulties.
On another thread, I'd be writing AIBU to think that exhaustion and weakness is enough to argue I should pause classroom teaching for a a week or so or, in anyone's experience, does it make little difference to recovery? I go to work by train. Many thanks for any thoughts.
