Booster after covid recovery. How should I time it?

Hi. I was confirmed with Covid on 9th Oct. I'm eligible for a booster from next week. Had my second jab on 20th May. Wondering whether I should wait to have booster to make the most of the natural immunity I might now have?

That's personally what I'm planning to do. Post-infection immunity is likely to be at least 6 months, so I'm going to hold off until then (March) which will hopefully get me through to at least next September when there could be another booster available.

Dr told me to book mine for 28 days after positive PCR, so I did.

Saw Prof Van Tam talking about this on BBC the other day. He said you should have it at 6 months, as advised, don't delay.

Ah that's interesting. Thank you. Really not sure now

I'm double jabbed, currently day 10 covid positive, surely there's going to be enough antibodies floating around in my body, for many months. Hope I get picked for the antibody testing, apparently not everyone who agreed to the trial gets selected.

It’s 28 days after you were confirmed positive and 6 months after second dose.

I'm on day 7 Covid positive and also due mine in a couple of weeks. I was considering delaying to capitalise on the natural immunity too.

I'm part of a trial where I'm tested for antibodies every 2-4 weeks. I was positive for antibodies 2 weeks before I tested positive for covid - in itself it doesn't tell you whether you're protected from infection Sad
