Are any pregnant ladies with underlying issues having the booster ?

I've got mine booked.

I'm in the second trimester.

Happily had my first two ( when I was not pregnant ).

Does anyone have any info on safety regarding the booster for pregnant women ? Are pregnant women more at risk of blood clots generally than non pregnant women?

Any info would help. I plan to have the booster for sure but my doctor and midwife basically said ' no comment ' when I asked if it was safe.

I'm pregnant and have had the booster as I work in a healthcare setting. I think I was about 24 or 25 weeks pregnant when I had it.

I received a text message from our community midwives in September which read:
"We are still seeing women sick with covid in pregnancy. Both Covid and flu vaccinations are recommended in pregnancy to protect you and your baby. Please book your vaccination, or a booster if you are eligible, as soon as possible www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/"

I've since received three further text messages from them that said:
"Covid and flu vaccines are safe and are recommended in pregnancy. Pregnancy means that you are more like to be sick if you catch Covid or flu. Please protect yourself and your baby by booking an appointment for these vaccines if you have not had them. Your midwife or doctor can talk to you further if you have questions. You can go to a local clinic or book using this link vaccinations.mft.nhs.uk/"

Before booking the booster, I called the midwives just to double check that it was safe for me to have it, and they told me that it was. I also checked with the nurse who gave me my booster before he injected me, and he confirmed that it was safe.

I was still nervous but decided to go ahead as I felt like the benefits outweighed the risks of the unknown. All the advice I was given by health professionals indicated that the booster vaccine was safe, so I decided to go for it.
