Vertigo 5 days after booster

I had my Pfizer booster on Monday and woke up during the early hours of this morning with vertigo (as in stumbling around type of vertigo that only eases when I lie or sit very still).

I understand dizziness is listed as a side effect. I didn't experience it after the first two vaccines, just now, 5 days after the 3rd dose.

Could this be connected and will therefore pass soon or more likely to be something else?

No chance of seeing my GP as they're 100 miles away (temporarily living away from home for work).

go to a walk in center and ask for prochlorperazine.

You can call 111 and they’ll see you and direct you to a nearby urgent care. As pp mentioned stemetil will be the choice of treatment and works really quickly. Yes it could be a side effect of the jab, equally it might not.

I had mine yesterday. They said any symptoms beyond 2 days were unlikely to be vaccine related. I was surprised, because it took me a week to get over my first AZ shot, but perhaps as it's a booster rather than a full dose, the effects are less?

Thank you. I've taken some Stugeron which the pharmacist recommended but I need to see a gp for the prochlorperazine. It has eased a bit but I'll ring 111 to see if I can get an appointment somewhere.

I had vertigo 5 days after my second jab. But it passed pretty quickly - suffered for about half a day.
Ive just had covid and suffered with a bit of vertigo with that too interestingly. Hope yours clears quickly.

I think they don’t really know what they are talking about. Several known vaccine side effects like the rare blood clots and myocarditis can take more than two days to occur. OP vertigo is a known side effect and I think it can take a while both to occur and to calm down. As others have suggested something like stugeron should help. I’ve had issues with vestibular migraines im the past and stugeron works well.

The symptoms you have are just like my vestibular migraines. I have to lie very still in bed until it passes

I've managed to plod to the living room so there's some improvement! I've been prescribed prochlorperazine and betahistine by an ooh gp via telephone (brilliant service, even had a follow up call after a few hours to see if I was ok).

I do get migraines but have never had dizziness like this with them and fortunately I don't have a headache at the moment either.
