If you go down with covid 3 days after partner can you 'isolate' together?

I can't find any official guidence on this... My friend has tested positive 3 days after her DH. Can they curl up together?!! Does it effect him returning to work after 10 days??? Does anyone know? thanks!

Of course. They’re not going to give it to each other.

Of course, use common sense. Prior to covid we did this for the plethora of illnesses we caught

If it was against the rules surely they would just ignore the rules?

I tested positive 3 days after dh, as soon as I tested positive we started cuddling again. We were both infected.... The dh can go back to work 10 days after his positive test/symptoms providing he feels well and hasn't got a fever, diarrhea and sneezing iirc

Yes of course.

PaintedDaisy · 03/11/2021 12:10

Yeah they don't have to isolate from each other

HunkyPunk · 03/11/2021 12:10

I don’t think that the partner getting it three days later means that the dh’s period of isolation has to extend, even if they’re snuggling up! Once his 10 days are done, he’s presumably non-infectious and immune (for a while, anyway)?

What a funny question, does she think that if a family of 5 all have covid at the same time they have to lock themselves in their bedrooms and have a schedule for who comes out when Grin

I think she didnt want to do anything to jeopardise her husband being able to return to work as he is self employed.... I rather respect her trying to check... in a world where a lot of people seem to be letting caution go to the wind!

Of course. I had covid in October & I still shared a bed with my negative husband. We don’t have another one.. still hugged and looked after my kids as well!

Not everyone has the privilege or circumstances to isolate from each other!
