I have to take DC2 to a walk-through test centre later. It says you need to bring photo ID, a passport or driving licence. I don't have that, and she definitely doesn't because she is 7. Will it matter? Surely I am not the only person in that situation?

I’ve never had to show ID for a child (11 times and counting!)

@Draggondragon

How do they know who you are if you don't have ID? Only in the UK Hmm
What's with the eyeroll? You show an email or QR code on your phone.

I've had 5 PCRs and haven't been asked for ID other than the code or email.

Never been asked for ID and had 5 PCRs this year plus 3-4 for each child including 2 walk ins where they didn’t even ask my name or anything just gave me the barcode so I could register myself afterwards.

Never needed any Id. I used to take some with me, but have given up now as it’s never been needed and I don’t routinely carry it with me.

The past few weeks, they haven’t even needed to scan my qr code either- they’ve figured out who we are from my car registration number.

@Draggondragon - I’ve lost count of the amount of tests I’ve been for (asthmatic, I cough all the bloody time plus young children with constant coughs & fevers 🤦🏼‍♀️). I’ve been to multiple test sites. Never once been asked for ID. They just ask for the booking email & scan the QR code on it.

@badlydrawnbear - no, you don’t need any

Well, you could always, I dunno, tell them.

I've done 2 pcr tests and never been asked for it!

I'm just wondering how my brother would manage. He is 54 and came to live with me last year following the death of our mother. He doesn't work, isn't on benefit, doesn't drive, hasn't got a passport, doesn't pay any bills. He is registered with a GP and has a savings account at the local building society but doesn't have a bank account. He refuses to have a mobile phone or a computer so would not have a QR code or email.
