I'm not sure if I can go and visit my sister who has just had covid. She's now feeling much better and is testing negative. Does that mean she's no longer contagious? I've tried googling but can't find anything to say whether I can or not. Does anyone know. Tia.

She doesn't need to have a negative test; once her 10 days are completed and she doesn't have a temperature then she is free to go back to normal

As long as it’s 10 days since she had symptoms or tested positive, then you should be ok to visit, but if you are not completely happy leave it a few more days.

Wait a little longer if you want more reassurance. I’d not be in a rush to visit straight after day 10 as it’s used to be 14 days.

Ok thank you

Is it more than 10 days since your sister's symptoms first started? That's the standard advice on how long to wait, though if she still has a fever I think the advice is that she should continue to self-isolate until the fever has gone.

It was only 14 days for close contacts not those with covid. It went from 7 to 10 days for those with covid and 14 to 10 days for contacts
