Weird Symptoms

Has anyone else had any ‘weird symptoms’ since testing positive? I’m on day 5, woke yesterday with hive type rash on hands and feet. It flared up on and off through the day each time spreading a little higher up arms and legs. I’ve woke up this morning and hands are covered in red swollen blotches?
I remember reading about COVID rash in relation to children sometime ago but not much since?

On the Zoe covid app it does ask if you’ve had hives or rashes. It is a thing unfortunately.
Have you tried an antihistamine?

One of my kids (17 yo) had a hives type rash all over. It was his first symptom. He then had a temperature and a bit of a cough, but wasn't too badly ill.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had hives on the back of my hands as one of my first symptoms.

This is really interesting. I've had hives for the last week, every morning, and been feeling really sick. I will do a test now. Thanks.

My son age 9 started with sore legs. He couldn’t walk home from school and we had to get the bus. He lay on the sofa all night complaining about his legs. We didn’t think it was covid-related and the next day he went to school and said he felt fine (he had ibuprofen). That night he had a headache and temperature, and the next day he tested positive. Then for 2 more days the sore legs came back and he could barely walk. The good news is that he made a full recovery (but my partner and I caught it)

Any virus can cause hives, particularly respiratory viruses, not just COVID. You should seek medical advice if you have angioedema with the hives, swelling under the skin/lips/tongue, as it can cause breathing difficulties:
