Well we can go to work if double jabbed , school , college etc but do the rules stop us going out to the pub?
Other Dc's tested negative on PCR and can go tol college and work and want to go out for drinks
Im saying the advice says consider masks in enclosed spaces etc etc so that means not really going , but there saying college is with lots of people , no masks etc
It was easier when we had to just isolate
If they had contact briefly with someone I would say ok as now a week in and negative pcr and lft but as in same house even though other child is isolating , it feels different as small risk there as sharing bathroom etc , even though its being wiped

They are legally allowed to, yes. Morally they probably shouldn't but it's their choice, I presume they are adults?

worriedatthemoment · 21/10/2021 19:14

Yes over 18 , basically thats exactly what I have said to them

If you're double vaccinated then you don't need to isolate, although it would be sensible to take a PCR.

You can go anywhere and do anything. Doesn't matter if it's work, school, shopping, or the pub.

I think there's nothing even stopping them going into a nursing home full of vulnerable patients. But I hope I'm wrong on that.

It’s fine, they’re allowed out. When DD tested positive, we did PCR tests (negative) and worked, socialised as normal. Neither DH nor I ever got Covid (and nor did any of my colleagues or friends who we’d met up with). Let them have their fun!

worriedatthemoment · 21/10/2021 19:42

@AutumnLeafy not sure , I know my old work you had to have a negative pcr and then go in
With my friend who is a teacher when her son had it she had to go in and works with vulnerable people
We have said what your allowed is one thing it does say consider avoiding crowded places , wear a mask indoors and avoid contact with vulnerable people but guidance , so basically the government putting onus on the public

Having just been to an event and testing positive the next day, I would say the guilt is horrible. The mental torture is far worse than the covid. The thing I console myself with is that I had absolutely no way of knowing. No known contact with any cases and a negative lateral flow that day.

worriedatthemoment · 21/10/2021 19:59

@SummerHouse thats how I feel but they are over 18 so I can't make them and they apparently said friends have done it and pointed out can still go to college / work
Its shit the goverment have put this on people I think
