I took part in the trials earlier this year where close contacts of a positive case were allowed out of isolation as long as they had a negative lateral flow test each day. I had to submit a daily negative result (with photo evidence) and there was a lot of guidance on minimising risk (eg avoiding mixing with others indoors) - so, while I was very grateful to be able to get out of my four walls, I didn't just carry on with life as normal and severely restricted my contact with other people.
Now that people who are double vaccinated don't have to self-isolate if they are a close contact of a positive case (in England, at any rate), most people seem to think that they would just carry on as normal. Is this the case or do Test and Trace still contact you and advise you to reduce contact, like they did during the trial?
