Covid cough

Is there anything I can do about this bloody awful cough? I have actually wet myself a couple of times, I’ve coughed so much. It’s dry but once I start, I can’t seem to stop. Pretty much all my other Covid symptoms have gone and I feel a bit run down but I can feel myself getting better. I have no underlying health conditions and have never had a chest infection in my life (I’m 50) but I’m self employed as an English tutor (currently online) and this bloody cough is causing havoc.

Can you get yourself one of those portable steam machines? We have the Vicks mini cool mist humidifier (check out Amazon) They seem to be easing coughs in our house. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Have you tried some cough medicine.
My mum wears by night nurse.
Hope you feeling better soon.
Gps say can take weeks to feel like on the mend.
I have frequent chest infections so know how you feel.

Out of interest, does having a sip of water help? DDs and DH had the most terrible coughs in January 2020. They lasted for weeks and the only thing that helped was having a drink of water. They ended up carrying water bottles everywhere. We now wonder if that was Covid.

Not especially. Maybe hot drinks more so.

Honey? When cold it has natural antibacterial and antiviral properties too
