So I started a thread yesterday about my two ds's who both had positive lateral flows. I booked a pcr and as suspected they came back during the night as negative.

What on earth is going on? Mine, Dh and dd lfts are still negative, these are from different batches too, I've attached this mornings and yesterday's from ds. They clearly have something - I can't understand why the pcrs aren't picking it up?

I've let the school know and sent them photos too. If people are being encouraged to take their children back to school on the basis of a negative pcr it's no wonder it's spreading the way it is.

I'm in the SW near Bristol. It isn't just this area though so I gather.

Oh no, hope your son is feeling better this evening?

My ds10 tested positive on a lateral flow Sunday evening, then we got a positive pcr yesterday. His twin brother, me and my partner are all negative. Doing daily lateral flows too. My boys headteacher is very sensible and letting my negative twin isolate for the 10 days.

Just waiting for the inevitable to happen now!

@Wagsandclaws it was around the same as your sons.
He is 12 so I don’t know if that makes any difference but they were also concerned about an apnea he was having whilst sleeping while he was poorly.
I wouldn’t worry too much if it’s coming down with medication, once they’d bought his heart rate down we were allowed to come home and after that ibuprofen kept it down until he got better.
If you’re worried about him though there’s no harm in calling the surgery for advice.
