What to do: 13 yo dd due vaccine 28 days after onset of symptoms

Just that really. DD had Covid (confirmed by PCR). Her school are vaccinating them exactly 4 weeks after her very earliest symptoms. Should she have it or not? Guidance is a bit unclear. I'd like for her to have it at school if possible.

Have emailed school twice but they've not responded...

Oh and she's completely recovered after a mild two-day illness.

Well, given that immunity from previous infection looks to be substantially better than immunity from vaccination, I would personally not be looking to vaccinate your DD after she's had a confirmed case of Covid. All the risk (albeit a small risk), and none of the benefit.

I disagree, it will give longevity to the antibodies that have already been created.
It’s the one dose thing which baffles me!

I do want her to have it just because it would be pretty disastrous for her to pass it onto her sister (other health issues), which miraculously she didn't do the first time. I know it's unlikely for her to get it again but everything I've read seems to suggest that natural infection followed by a vaccination means she'll be super-protected.

Her year at school was off so often last year that I also want to minimise any chances of having to go off again.
