I've posted before about my Symptoms started weeks ago..started with a big headache then went away with painkillers.. then a day later here are my symptoms:

constant lightheaded/dizzy
feeling of being on a rocky boat
on/ off pressure in head and sinuses
head & ear fullness
brain fog
cold feeling in one ear
ears feel like need popping

doc has prescribed anti sickness tablets and referred to ENT and said it could be post vaccine inflammation and I need to be seen by long Covid clinic eventually, which both will take forever! Im just at my wits end, getting so low crying daily and I'm a mum too has anyone done or taken anything to help ? Thanks xx

Sorry you're feeling bad OP, I have vestibular disease so know that horrible dizzy feeling!

If you're being referred to a long COVID clinic, then presumably the doctor think it's due to a COVID infection rather than the vaccination?

And if your symptoms have only been going on for a week it doesn't sound like you should panic yet - hopefully they will resolve? A fever or feeling rubbish after vaccination can take a while to get over.

What do you mean by inflammation?

pureofmind · 05/10/2021 17:27

It's been 3 weeks hun it's a reaction to the vaccine. The docs have said ent will need to check first and THEN afterwards if all theie tests come back clear it's long Covid clinic. So I've never had Covid but it's the same symptoms that people with long Covid have had

Ah @pureofmind - the info you're linking is from an anti-vaccine group who have been spreading misinformation about coronavirus and the vaccines - I really wouldn't trust any information they provide!

Did you see your usual doctor/GP about this? No one credible would provide you with that info sheet!

riveted1 · 05/10/2021 17:39

Please do not take the medications they recommend for this such as ivermectin - there is no evidence (nor rationale) that they work, and they are making huge profits from prescribing unnecessary medication.

I hope you're able to get good support from your GP and usual healthcare providers.

I had a very sinussy headache for several weeks around the time of my vaccine, which may or may not have been related. It's totally gone now though.

I understand what you are saying but I'm willing to do anything to reduce or stop my pain and suffering my gp said could be long Covid syndrome yes. But tests needs doing first which could take TWO years!!

So this isn't made up this is my real everyday life

OP I completely understand your symptoms are real and extremely debilitating.

What will take 2 years - a referral to ENT? Specifically what tests need doing?

I know it's difficult but I wouldn't automatically assume the symptoms you've had for three weeks are going to be permanent, they may resolve of their own accord.
