Covid testing for travel after having recently had covid

Friend house have all recently had covid. Adults are double vaccinated but teenagers aren't yet.
They would like to go on holiday abroad half term or christmas... But will need to do a PCR or alike for teenagers prior to entry.

Will the PCR before go show a false positive due to recent infection? If so is there a different test that countries accept that is less effected?
School are telling kids that are close contacts not to go for PCR for 3 months after positive case (unless have symptoms)
Any help appreciated...

It possibly could still show positive. I think some countries accept proof of recent infection but not many.

I had Covid in August and I'm now testing negative on PCRs (I do them regularly for the ONS study).

Honestly I wouldn't bother with the hassle, I'd just wait to go abroad next year.
