Constant Fever Please Help

I'm on day 6 of symptoms, tested positivr 5 days ago. Double vaxxed (Astra Zeneca), 33 year old female, diabetic (MODY - controlled) and that's it. Since day 3 I have had the most awful chills followed by fever constantly. I am taking the max dose of paracetemol every day but if I leave it so much as an hour later than I'm meant to take them - temperature rises immediately. I feel so uncomfortable, I've spent the last 2 days in bed. Why is it not going away?? I've got a cough, uncomfortable feeling in my chest today, no taste or smell, did have body aches but they've gone and a blocked/stuffy nose and headaches. I'm so scared I'm going to end up in hospital. My husband is back in work on Monday and hasn't suffered like me at all and I have 2 young children to care for. Can anyone offer some advice/stories about whether I should be worried? I have bought an oxygen stat monitor which reads between 97 and 100 but my heart rate is over 100 and I feel exhausted.

I doubt there's any reason to be worried but why not call your gp for a telephone appointment to put your mind at rest.
What's your normal heart rate?
Your dh will need to take parental leave or emergency carers leave on Monday. You're not fit to look after 2 small children.
You can take ibuprofen with paracetamol, it's good at keeping a fever down.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with your temperature and not feeling well.

It’s definitely worth speaking to your doctor or 111 to see what their advice is regarding your temperature. How high does it generally go?

How are your blood sugars? I’m asking as a fellow type 1 diabetic so understand the battle!

@shouldistop it does run on the high side anyway. When I sleep it's usually in the 70's, but at rest during the day high 80s, low 90s. @Bunn5 they've been between 6 and 9.5 since this started so I don't think that's too bad. I'm so fed up and don't feel like I'm getting better. Sad

Your blood sugars sound good! So they’d something positive to focus on and will help you to get better quickly.

I am not a medical professional but a fever is your bodies way of fighting off infection. So it’s doing it’s job. As I said before though, alerts worth checking with a doctor. 111 would be able to advise you tonight.
