Dd was ill over 3 weeks ago now, (sibling had been unwell too but recovered within 10 days). Dd had temp, sore throat, rash and facial swelling. Dd has ASD, more or less impossible to get a pcr done on her but I tried. Was negative. Had her in a&e twice in last 10 days as facial rash alarming and anti histamine not helping much. Drs say possibly been covid or another virus. Another dr said eczema. Eczema just doesnt ring true. No history of allergies/sensitive skin etc and I have changed all bathing/detergents few wks ago.

I keep seeing info about covid skin rashes/hives and it looks similar to what she has. Worst is it can last months apparently. Just curious if anyone else has had skin problems from covid? Dd struggles with anxiety going to school and this is just one more problem to make life more difficult getting her there Sad

Yes I know someone who had a rash with covid, it flared up and down quite quickly.

Flowers for your dd. Bloody government leaving them all to catch it Angry

I had a rash that was itchy on the left side of my face, left side of my neck, left shoulder and chest. Lasted about a week and a half.

Thanks for your replies and sorry getting back late. So interesting to hear of others skin reactions.
Managed to actually see GP with dd face to face yesterday after a phone cons, showed her photos on phone I'd taken of dds hives/rashes at various stages and went through timeline of symptoms. She thought very likely been covid, said they are seeing more and more skin reactions now from covid, an immune response in some people. No idea how long this could go on. Got 2 different lots of anti histamines to take 3-4 times a day and a new steroid cream. She is so run down and missed so much school already but it will just have to run it's course it seems.

My friend’s toddler DD had shocking hives with her COVID. It was early on in the pandemic and the paediatricians didn’t initially know what it was. When my friend sent me photos, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
