Risk of catching Covid outside (with Asthma)

Is there really any prospect of Covid particles floating in through an open window if neighbours who we know have Covid are coughing outside?
I feel they spectacularly selfish but have been walking around outside, driving around in car, coughing their guts up whilst sat in their garden whilst they were all Covid+.
DS16 bedroom faces their house he’s sits gaming for long next to the window and now he’s coughing badly. He’s on his way home from college to do a test Angry. He does have asthma do coughing isn’t unusual however now he feels feverish too.
He did have Covid in January and has had a jab so fingers crossed he’s not caught it again.
Am I overthinking or could covid float in through his window?

I think talking to the delivery people for a few mins on the doorstep is not very kind of them.

Yes me too, this is where I’m coming from. Plus how did they get their take away, through a drive thru may be very low risk in theory, but is it the right thing to do? Not in my book.

Have they told you they've got Covid?

I've spent the summer 'coughing my guts up' in the garden because I have allergies. The neighbours may well have thought I had Covid but as it's none of their business what I do in my own garden they can think what they like!

Yes this did tell me this, and posted about it prolifically on social media. I’m not making any assumptions on this point.

I double checked the date thinking this must be a zombie thread from spring/ summer 2002!

There is absolutely nothing legally or morally wrong about going out in your garden. The risk is minimal and it's healthier than indoor exposure to other members of the household.

No, they shouldn't be doing drive-throughs, walks, lengthy chats with delivery guys, but that's well-established knowledge and you're best to just leave them be at this point. Fortunately the interactions are short/ have outdoor ventilation and are fairly low risk.

Why are they driving around?
I have Covid. I have to self-isolate, which means not driving.

Aside from that, chances will be slim. Ds1 has Covid and asthma. He's on the mend. In fact my cough is worse and I'm not asthmatic.

My son and I also sat in the garden. We coughed...
The sunshine and fresh air felt therapeutic after being bed bound for 3 days.
