Do we need another PCR

My dd is 5...contact at party on Sunday...track and trace advised test ..tested Tue morning.... Tuesday afternoon...DD went to one of her clubs... Wednesday morning ..her PCR came back negative.. Wednesday afternoon...mum of child at club on Tuesday contacted me to say her daughter tested positive..my DD and her dad had contact Tuesday afternoon.. her dd test was done Mon morning but sent by post ...my details back to track and trace...do my DD need another PCR.... Not sure I honestly can get her to do another so quick...she is only five!

The PCR for close contacts is a recommendation. They can't make you. I know my DC would hate it.

Thanks...I was to believe you have to get it done...just now sure I can get her redone in less than three days...she is five, no symptoms.... I wait to see what track and trace says tomorrow

I'm finding this hard to follow due to the basic words and ...

However, are you saying your child was told to test, which was done on Tuesday morning, then she was out to a club on Tuesday afternoon?

My dd was tested Tue morning. She went to a club on Tuesday afternoon. child at club tested positive on wed. Does my DD need to retest. I'm dylexic so probably not explaining it well

Ignore it, she’s negative. Otherwise you’d be constantly testing. Just carry on as normal unless she has symptoms
