Going for second dose this week. Husband was not well after his second dose. And I've realised I am now spending a lot of time worrying about it! What have peoples experiences been? I had an incredibly sore arm after the first one. And then ten days after got a rash at the injection site. 😔

1st moderna I just had a sore arm. The 2nd one though, I had it mid morning and by 11pm I was shivery, sweaty, achy and had a massive headache. I was fine by the morning though and went to work. I was a bit tired for a couple of days after. Oh, also a rash at the injection site.
I had a long period after my first vaccine. It lasted about a month!! I kept thinking it was tailing off and then it would start all over again!

Now in a quandary. Had got myself all ready to go tomorrow. But started with a sore throat last night. Felt rubbish. Better today. Negative lfds. But not sure now if I should wait a few days until feel totally fine. Or just get it over and done with

I had a sore arm after the first one and then a hot/red arm and a mild cold after the second one.

Anybody experience rough side effects after second Moderna dose?

Our twenty year old had his second jab on 2 Sept and was fine until 11 days later (13th) when he started feeling off-colour and not eating much.

Weird thing is, the yucky feeling and his appetite comes and goes.

He spoke to GP this afternoon, who said she wouldn’t discount it being side effects from the second Moderna jab, as they have had a lot of patients contacting them, saying they have felt rough after their second vaccine.

GP said he should feel better in another few days and to take it easy, with plenty fluids.

DS had moderna, fine after first one and had a bit of a temp/went to bed for the afternoon after the second. Nothing major.

So had second jab yesterday. Feel
Pretty rough today. Throat is sore. But I dont think that's a side effect so no idea what that's about!

Jab 1 I had the sore arm, headache and my period came early.

Jab 2 within a couple of hours I had sweating, shaking and vomiting, and had a rough couple of days and nights. Admittedly it turned out I had actual Covid at the same time, so my case may not be typical!

I just had Moderna this past weekend (Saturday). It was my third and my first two were Pfizer. I am on a med that suppresses my immune system hence the third dose. Moderna was recommended.

I had quite a sore arm for a few days. Still a bit sore but much better. Also a mild headache and felt a bit shivery Sunday night. A few aches.

Overall nothing I couldn't fix with a couple of paracetamol.

I cannot find anywhere that lists a sore throat as a side effect. Going to see if feel any better tomorrow and if not do an lft. I haven't been anywhere today at all so no worry there. How did you feel after the onset of those symptoms/side effects? Must've been grim for you having COVID and then being vaccinated!

DD and all her classmates had Moderna and almost all had 2 days of temperature after the second dose. Nothing major, not dangerously high, but it was pretty widespread zonking out. She had it Thursday, by Saturday was fine again.

Hi there. If she was under 18 she shouldn't have had Moderna. It is not licensed for under 18s She should have had Pfizer

Curious to know what happened in the end.

I had swollen glands after all 3 of my Moderna shots. My throat felt quite sore and tight as a result.

Other than that I was fine and carried on with work and life as normal.

Most my American contacts had 2 doses of Moderna & none ever mention any side effects. DS had 2 doses (over 3 weeks): said he "felt it" after the first one, but he's not specific what "felt it" means. He still went to work, did grueling physical activity on nearly no sleep -- so did the other 250 young people in his residences who had Moderna in same way.

Sore arm only after 1st dose of Moderna.

Same after 2nd but also flu-like symptoms - aching, feverish (literally dripping with sweat actually), muscle twitching and some difficulty breathing. Started about 12 hours after vaccination and much better within 24, just a bit wiped out. I did report on the Yellow card site.
