Im a little confused by how this works. My DD has been under investgation for a long time for permanently enlarged lymph nodes and cysts on her thyroids, her blood test showed she is constantly fighting infection
The doctors found this out early this year but she had to wait until her age group were called to have her COVID vaccine, so we assumed she wasnt CEV or at risk and as she works with pre school children she is likely to have come into contact at some stage with the virus. (all her co workers got it but she was the only one that wore a mask and didnt contract it)
My question is, can you be vulnerable to the extent the flu vaccine is required early, but not so vulnerable you can wait for the COVID vaccine? My eldest son had his COVID vaccine in January as he has asthma which has required hospitilisation when he was younger but been under control for many years, My DD however, has been in and out of hospital for the last few years with many issues, meningitis, appendicitis, tonsillitis, cellulitis and in Jan 2020 a kidney issue following a high temperature and sickness bug that required a drip and monitoring
We were both suprised when she was called for the vaccine before any of us in the family, including people near 60 in age.
