Hello all. Double jabbed if that makes a difference.

Yesterday I wasn't feeling right, not ill just a little spaced out, kept having very short dizzy spells.

Today, I've had a bad headache all which isn't unusual for me at all though.

But I don't feel right. Just like a niggly scratchy feeling in my throat and an itchy nose which has now stopped. It was short lived. My eyes were insanely itchy this morning too. I've spent days cleaning so I put it down to cleaning products/dust.

But I feel like I've ran 5 miles. I've ached with viruses before but that isn't that. This feels like cramps and twinges more than anything. I have had cramp going down from mr groin area down my leg and foot like twinges, my arms ached earlier and under my armpits hurt. Don't feel feverish or short of energy though - just the headache is getting mr down.

My headache has heightened my sense of smell. When I get a bad headache (quite often) things smell ten times stronger. It's bizarre. This isn't a new thing.

I've had a busy few days. Spent the last 4 or 5 days spring (autumn) cleaning

I could be just knackered or maybe it could be covid or another illness. Who knows.

despite having a bad head, I feel otherwise fine apart from the cramps.

It could be anything really. It doesn’t help that Covid (like many viruses) presents differently with different people.

Only way to know if it’s Covid is with a test.

Watsername · 17/09/2021 17:32

Have you taken a lateral flow test?

NannyOggsward · 17/09/2021 17:33

Yes. Mine started with headache and feeling like all the energy has been sucked out of my body.

We all have positive PCRs and only 1 child has been “classic” as in temp and cough. The rest of us vary from sore throat, to aches, headache and tiredness.

Lateral flows gave false negatives meaning one of mine was in school when she shouldn’t have been. Get a PCR.

OrangeTortoise · 17/09/2021 17:33

None of us can answer this OP. You need to take a test.

ChimChimeny · 17/09/2021 17:33

Could be, also could be something else!

Don't take a lateral flow test, get a PCR

Trinacham · 17/09/2021 17:38

Yes. Covid isn't necessarily severe for people. I am unvaccinated (choosing to have it after my pregnancy) and I caught covid really midly. I thought I was getting a cold but it wasn't developing. It was more mild than a cold for me.

Kaley3043 · 17/09/2021 17:40

Thanks all. I'm very aware that I would need a pcr, not a lateral flow. Lateral flows are a waste of time imo. Energy levels are fine thank god! Feeling a bit meh cos of headache but no more tired than usual!

I'm not feeling ill, just not feeling 'right' if that makes sense 😒 like shooting pains down my body and tense shoulders.

I mean yes covid can and does start mildly and only a test stands a chance of telling you for certain.

But my gut, on what you've written here, is that you're worn out from spending five days cleaning. (I'd be feeling a lot of what you're feeling if I did five hours' cleaning, quite frankly!)

You might also have had a reaction to dust being kicked up by the cleaning, or some product you've used.

And the aches and twinges might be if you've been reaching up or leaning over to clean something, or pushing a heavy vacuum around. Strained and tired muscles, basically.

I'd rest up (in your nice clean house!) for a day or two and see how you go.

Thanks. Too late for a test today so will sort it tomorrow now.

Haha... I had a few days at home and kids are back to school I thought I'd crack on! I've been non stop for days!

Thanks!

Both mine and husband's covid started with dizzy spells.

NuffSaidSam · 17/09/2021 18:07

Yes, of course. It can be entirely symptomless.

RoseWineTime · 17/09/2021 23:48

Most people I know who’ve had covid recently have tested positive at some stage on a lateral flow test. Hardly a waste of time
