Menstrual changes after covid vaccination

There were lots of reports of women experiencing weirdness with their menstrual cycles following covid vaccinations (myself included), and as I recall women were urged to report it if they experienced this - however, according to this news article this anomaly hasn't been investigated at all. Why bother asking women to report this if it isn't going to be looked into? I'm currently unsure as to whether or not to let my 12 year old DD have the vaccine because of this reason - she has yet to start her periods and I'm worried about what the vaccine might do to her developing reproductive system. The person in the news article who is calling for this to be investigated is a reproductive specialist - I am genuinely surprised that it isn't being looked into already:

It is already being looked into - read the bit under 'Menstrual disorders (period problems) and unexpected vaginal bleeding' on www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-vaccine-adverse-reactions/coronavirus-vaccine-summary-of-yellow-card-reporting

Currently the 'rigorous evaluation' doesn't support a link.

In the opinion piece you are referring to, the doctor thinks it's more likely to be an immune response than caused by the vaccine itself, but that more research would help to counter misinformation about the issue that is causing vaccine hesitancy in young women.

I heard one BBC report today saying many women had either heavier or later period after one or two doses. This guy just on now saying no such thing and us pesky women are just more away of our bodies after jabs and no evidence of anything! They can’t make their mind up what they are reporting

We not ask you, we not listen when you tell us, nothing see here! I’m not saying anything bad in side affects but even minor disruption should be down as side effect as much as headache or sore arm.

Cant comment on the vaccine but COVID itself can mess with your periods so if you are worried about your dd's reproductive system the vaccine is probably your best bet.
