Does anything help the lightheadness?

I live alone and I’m feeling sorry for myself. Today is Day 6, and I had been feeling better but the headache came back today. That’s now cleared but I feel so fuzzy and almost like my head is heavy (I know that’s the opposite of lightheadedness but it’s hard to explain!). My tummy is queasy too.

I’m going to have some tea and toast to try and boost myself.

Drinking water if you can manage it. I get light-headed when I'm dehydrated.
Lots and lots of rest.
I hope you feel better soon xx

I know the feeling. Hopefully not much longer for you now before you are better.

BlueGinghamPyjamas · 06/09/2021 21:59

I hope so too. The tea and toast helped, just feel exhausted again now.

Lightheadedness is a common complaint amongst fellow sufferers on MN. It may be with you for some time, I'm afraid....

Just rest - it's actually pretty early days for you so don't push yourself.

BlueGinghamPyjamas · 06/09/2021 22:20

Oh I hope not. I’m sorry for anyone with this long term 😰

I hope it passes quickly for you. Days 6 to 10 for many people with symptoms is the peak and then it gets -gradually or quickly- better!

Rest. Fluids. Beige food.

Someone on another thread described it as feeling like your head is in a goldfish bowl!

peachpearplum01 · 06/09/2021 22:31

Yes to the water, I felt really dehydrated and needed to drink constantly.

BlueGinghamPyjamas · 06/09/2021 22:36

A goldfish bowl is quite accurate Grin

I know what feeling you mean. I get it in my whole body though and only couple of weeks ago realised the heaviness feeling is related to my headaches. I think mine are some sort of sensory migraine. Had it very badly when I had covid last year. Felt like my whole body was in quicksand. Very strange sensation.
