So much admin after positive test

My DH and I and both D.C. tested positive yesterday, so far I’m the only one with symptoms which for me are akin to a heavy cold.

So far I’ve had to contact work and the school, inform parents of my kids friends at school (because school are no longer telling kids in close contact), give details of everyone I’ve been in contact with to Test & Protect, including a group of 16 people I was training on Thursday (first in person session since 2019 🙄). I’ve had to rearrange my working week to enable me to isolate, organise food and supplies for the next 10 days, inform the kids aftercare, reschedule a health appointment and cancel a social engagement.

I get why it’s necessary but bloody hell it’s a lot to do, if I was really very unwell I’d not manage it - and most of it needed to be me because the nature of my work is confidential. I wonder how folk who are very poorly manage to comply with all the rules.

I feel the same, it's enough to worry about just taking care of yourself let alone sorting food, telling friends and dealing with the bombardment of calls and texts from the NHS. It's making me feel so rubbish (on top of Covid!)

Same…we have had no calls from the NHS or T&T though. Feels a little bit, well, isolating?

I’ve had 21 text messages from Test & Protect, because the kids ones come to me too, I’m going to get them done for stalking at this rate.

Nothing to add, OP, but I thought the same. My ds tested positive at the end of May. Thankfully, his symptoms were very mild and the rest of us didn't get it. But if any if us were really poorly, all the calls in and out plus PCRs for everyone would have been a nightmare to arrange. The track and trace call itself was 45 minutes long. All in a good cause, but horrible if you were really unwell (and how would you think straight?!)

I felt very poorly and I found it difficult. All adults in this house though so just had to do my own.
