Self isolating question

Sorry if this has been asked before.

If a family have tested positive on different dates does each member

only need to do their own 10 days isolation (as long as no further illness or symptoms) so finish isolation on different days

or should they all be isolating till the last positive member has done their 10 days so all finish at the same time?

We are that family & I believed the first scenario was correct but have questioned myself as at least 3 people have asked if we are doing the second scenario.

They all do their own 10 days so isolation will end on different dates

everybody does 10 from their own positive test.

If they don't test positive and are under 18 or double jabbed they don't isolate at all, if they need to isolate they do the first 10 days and only start again if they test positive.

Only the person who tests positive needs to isolate assuming the other household members are either under 18, or over 18 and double jabbed.

Although in Scotland and you are a close contact you would get a PCR and isolate until you got your results back.

Thank you for clarifying & putting my mind at rest. We're in England & all have positive tests.

DC1 will be pleased as their self isolation ends today & was planning to go out for a walk later.
