Anyone ,? had one over 24 hrs ago and nothing . Any we have had here are normally back within about 12-14 hours.
Spoke to 119 who said he had lots of calls of people chasing.
The goverment need to be making sure we can get results in 24 hrs especially now people can go about after contact so may go multiple places whilst waiting for a result .

He said mine hasn't even been received back yet from the lab

SW London here - have been used to getting them back within 18 hours. Went yesterday at 1pm and still not back - so nearly 30 hours…

Covidisdrivingmecrazy · 03/09/2021 18:46

Sw Surrey just under 24 hours. Unfortunately it was positive :(

FlatStanletta · 03/09/2021 18:49

Hi OP, it’s been well over 35 hours for me now. It’s always been 12-24 hours previously. Typical as I’m waiting on it to know if I can go to a wedding tomorrow.

I called up to check and they just said it had been correctly registered and was in the system and would be with me within 72 hours… it’s very stressful. Sad

FannyFifer · 03/09/2021 18:50

13 hours for mines yesterday.

Mermaidpool · 03/09/2021 18:51

South west 20 hours

takingmytimeonmyride · 03/09/2021 18:55

Sussex. My DS had one at 1.30pm yesterday, results arrived at 3.15pm. Positive unfortunately.

takingmytimeonmyride · 03/09/2021 18:56

Sorry, should say 3.15pm today! It wasn't that quick!

NotSure1542 · 03/09/2021 19:04

I live in the West Midlands. Mine took 18 hours. Went for the test at 08:30 and got the results at 01:17 the following day. Fortunately mine was a negative however I’m having another test tomorrow for my holiday!

worriedatthemoment · 03/09/2021 19:06

@FlatStanletta thats what they told me , typical nhs postcode lottery as some getting them in 12 hrs and some of us told 72 hrs , thats a lot of work and school to miss if they take that long and will put people off having them, especially if like me your having as a poss close contact of a positive case. Be time for another one by time it comes back

Central Scotland, we're still told up to 72hrs but it's about a day and a half at the moment as test centres back to peak business

yellowrattle · 03/09/2021 19:19

30 hours in south london

AngelsWithSilverWings · 03/09/2021 19:28

We did home tests and they were sent to us with the return postage labels missing. Test and trace were useless and couldn't tell us what to do with the tests so we just posted them in our nearest priority post box with no address label or postage and we got our results 24 hours later!

frizzyandfrazzled · 03/09/2021 19:46

Just waiting right now. Tested DD this morning - hoping to hear by the morning. Defo something wrong with DD but hoping it's not covid 🤞 You would have thought by now the process would be quicker and easier.

worriedatthemoment · 03/09/2021 20:13

@frizzyandfrazzled you would think so as people missing days off work and kids time off school etc , people won't bother if waiting is long
If its busy now what will it be like in winter when we have loads more colds / flu going around that cause high temp and cough etc

SE

This week it took 17 hours for a morning test (9am) and 18 hours for the afternoon test (3.30pm).

mumoftoddler · 03/09/2021 20:18

About 36hrs last week from putting it in the postbox to getting the result through. I'm in the North West

Yes, he'd been coughing through the night and woke up with a temperature.

Hope you get your result soon

frizzyandfrazzled · 04/09/2021 07:36
