Are we meant to isolate?

Dn had a positive lft yesterday, got a pcr booked for today. Me and the dc saw her on Sunday, dh didn't. Are we meant to be isolating, either now or if dn gets a positive pcr. Do we need to do lft? Dh and i are double jabbed but we have 5 dc who haven't yet.

Double jabbed and under 18s don't need to.

Because our country is utterly stupid, you don;t have to isolate.

IMO morally you should tell everyone the situation to give them the chance to avoid.

Thankyou. I thought that might be the case. I agree that morally the right thing to do is to isolate, whatever the legal requirement is.

If you’re u’renclose contacts and she’s PCR positive you should all get PCRs

toomuchlaundry · 26/08/2021 00:56

Assuming you are in England. Need to have been double jabbed more than 2 weeks. I would limit social contact if you can

Isolatedandbored · 26/08/2021 02:24

It’s up to you.

Revengeofthepangolins · 26/08/2021 02:43

It even before the rule change your co tact wouldn’t have been within 48 hrs ( unless she was already feeling ill on Tuesday?) so you would never have been required to isolate for that. A d if she had symptoms on Tuesday your husband would have escaped

elliejjtiny · 26/08/2021 19:04

DN has now tested positive with a pcr test so we will continue to isolate.
