Anyone suffer hearing problems with Covid?

I tested positive two days ago and was feeling just a hit fluey, sneezing and coughing.
Then suddenly my hearing has become problematic. It feels like I have bad glue ear. I can hear some sounds like a spoon on a dish and ‘sharp’ noises, but not normal levels of conversation, and the radio is indecipherable. I have tinnitus on and off and that is worse too. Anyone else experience this?

My daughter did. She had terrible ear problems with Covid. Pain, couldn't hear anything and tinnitus. It lasted about 2 weeks then cleared with her other symptoms.

Sorry to hear that, but slightly relieved too. I am quite scared that i have gone deaf permanently. Googling didn’t throw up that this is a common problem. I suffer tinnitus on and off but it’s usually quite mild.

Sounds like blocked eustachian tubes to me. Lots of olbas oil or Vick usually helps! Also menthol chewing gum.

A friend has completely lost his hearing after getting covid, he said the doctors have said it should come back gradually.

Yes and I now have hearing aids for both ears due to permanent sensorineural hearing loss, I also have tinnitus that has improved over time. Contact your GP for advice, but they probably won't see you until your isolation period is finished. Get them to check your ears then refer you to ENT/audiology if no obvious infection or blockage.

Oh I do hope so! I’m feeling rather scared.

Sorry to hear that; did you have tinnitus before? Mine is a result of a particular chemotherapy drug I had during treatment for throat cancer six years ago. I usually don't notice it unless I think about it but it has been quite bad the last two days.

Hmmm well this is interesting.... I've had the worst low base sound recently, thought I was going mad at one point! Realised recently that it's when I'm stressed only started after Astra

Anyone else?

I just had a cold/sinusitis with really thick snot.
Then earache.
Then yes probably blocked tubes but one side really bad and for about a week now ive had almost no hearing in right ear. It was like it was stuffed with cotton wool. Id tried albas oil, yawning etc but it was so blocked. And my whole ear etc was numb.
Then i stood around for about 2hrs today and it feels a bit better.
I dont think it's covid- i got this from a swimming pool.

Op try lots of yawning. Staying hydrated.
I also have tinnitus- pulsative.
Tinnitus can be from anaemia which can be a consequence of covid.

Thank you; hydration is definitely a factor with my tinnitus. I will up fluids.

I had occasional tinnitus before Covid since childhood. B vitamins can help with tinnitus too.

Not me but I know someone who did. He went deaf in one ear. It cleared up, albeit slowly and intermittently.
