Northern Ireland - vaccination for 16 year olds acceptable forms of identification

Bit of a long shot but just wondered if anyone in NI knows if a birth certificate is accepted as identification if a child doesn’t have photographic id.
Official info says same forms of id as adult but I know a lot of 16 year olds don’t have any. A few people have told me they think birth certificate is ok but they haven’t actually tried using that themselves. Ds is approaching 16 and I want to be prepared as he is keen to have it but he doesn’t have any photographic identification.
I could apply for a passport but likely won’t need one for a while so would rather not if I don’t need to.
Thank you.

I had a nosy for my dds friend at the weekend, they have no photographic id. They went down with birth certificate, an exam cert (early GCSE from last year) and their yellow medical card and they were accepted. This was at the SSE.

Although I know the mass vaccination centres are closing so if it's being administered through Drs or pharmacies from now on for that age group here, it might be easier to use a birth certificate etc. A few of her friends also used birth certificates plus their school bus pass.

implantsandaDyson thank you very much for that. I was just worried that the 15 year olds would be called and we wouldn’t have anything suitable.
I obviously have birth certificate and medical card and have a letter from the bank addressed to him.
Also hadn’t thought of it probably being done in the health centre. Older Dd had hers there as she is medically vulnerable and they didn’t even look at her identification.
Don’t really want to be out the money for a passport if it’s not needed.

Birth certificate, medical card, National insurance card (although I have been told by those younger that it's not a card anymore)
Apparently they're not going to be fussy as the priority is to get vaccination done

shoofly thanks very much. I’ll dig out his medical card and have it ready. I imagine they will start younger age groups soon. Even if they don’t, he’ll be 16 in December.
