If you've been ill with Covid, when do you stop being contagious? I'm due to see someone who has it the first day that they are out of 10 day isolation. Is there a chance they could still be contagious and I could catch it? TIA

I wouldn't see anyone who has had it until at least 2 weeks after diagnosed. But I'm overly cautious with most things in life.....

As long as all symtoms have completely subsided, then it is very unlikely they will still be contagious.

If still symptomatic, then wait until 48hours after they finally go

Thanks, probably better to be on the cautious side.

A cough and loss of taste/smell can go on for weeks. As long as they are fever free for 48 hours they are ok to be out and about after 10 days

The official guidance for people with Covid is to still isolate with the following symptoms as may still be contagious
High temperature/fever
Runny nose & sneezing
Sickness & diarrhoea.

Although fever is not one of delta variant symptoms.

It certainly is. I have covid and have had fever intermitantly.
I was wondering about this myself. I'm on day 6 and still really ill, hard to imagine I'll be recovered in 4 more days.
I have a long awaited hospital appointment in 6 days. Reckon I'm going to have to cancel.
