Cough?

I had covid at the end of June this year. At the end of my isolation I was contacted thanking me for staying in etc & they advised that I shouldn't now test for 3 months.
My throat is feeling dry & I feel like I'm going to get a cough......what should I do as if I test it could come back positive as I have antibodies. What's the likelihood of my having covid now when I only had it just over a month ago? Tia

Having antibodies won't make your test positive, however old virus can sometimes cause it. I would think it extremely unlikely that you would catch it again so soon, it's probably another virus. I don't know what to suggest. Do a lateral flow & take it from there?

They've told you not to test for 3 months so don't test.

You can’t test for 3 months as you may still test positive. So if you get a cough and you want to take a pcr you won’t be able to .
The guidelines are you would probably need to isolate but not actually test . I do think it’s unlikely you catching it so soon but not impossible.

I thought the official guidance was not to test for 90 days unless you develop new symptoms?
