Indian made AZ vaccine batch- what are the implications?

Just realised my 1st jab back in April was from one of those 2 batches, I read there might be some issues but cannot find anything official eg from Gov or NHS sources. Anyone know what the real world implications are?

Was it not just that some countries don't recognise them/haven't authorised them yet as a covid vaccine.

Most countries in the EU accepted it some time back, just a few were waiting for EMA approval that AZ has applied for on behalf of Serum Institute. www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/who-chief-scientist-says-15-countries-in-eu-recognise-covishield-vaccine-for-travel/. Other countries not listed here may have approved it since, you'd need to check them. Or it may have been approved in the UK/EU/US scheme, worth checking.

It's worth being aware that Serum Institute is a massive global supplier of vaccines, so it's just a matter of time until the admin work is done for approvals.

Thanks everyone, that is reassuring. France is the country I most want to go to and it seems it now recognises that vaccine www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/france-now-recognises-covishield-vaccine-as-proof-of-vaccination/
