Are you doing anything personally to reduce covid effects?

I’m very worried as the vaccinations aren’t stopping us from getting it. I think you can even get it again if you’ve already had it. I’m trying to lose weight, eat better, take vitamin d and zinc and do some regular exercise. I know I should have been doing this anyway but fear has helped me with kick up the backside. I don’t know if there’s anything else I can be doing to help.

I've been double vaxxed, I don't go to busy places, and I've been on prescription vitamin D for years anyway.

I am resigned to getting it of course. But would like to ride it out as well as possible so I totally get your point of view op.
I should exercise regularly too but for now I'm eating salads. Which is unusual for me and the least I can do in the circs.

Nothing particular for Covid… I try and stay healthy to avoid poor outcomes from disease in general though. Always have.

Wearing a mask, keeping healthy through exercise and weight, vitamins and avoiding indoor spaces as much as possible.

I lost 24lbs to get to ideal weight (lower end of ideal), increased exercise hugely and took high dose vitamin D. Just recovering from Covid and it was rough, but I guess could have been a lot worse

@Darbs76 well done on the weight loss. It’s true that we’ll never know if these things have made a huge difference or not.

I'm still wearing a mask indoors, not going shopping unless I need something I can't order, or for groceries and still wiping down all shopping.

Had both vaccine and still wearing a mask that's it. I didn't wash my hands more than normal but that's because I kept forgetting.

Wearing a mask, avoiding busy places and indoor dining/entertainment, taking vitamin D in winter months.

I think I'm finally in a headspace, now things seem a bit brighter, that I can face doing something about my weight and fitness levels. Until now I was just too anxious/depressed to be able to focus on what I needed to do.

I keep physically active and a healthy weight to minimise risks of many diseases, not just covid.

And to protect my mental health I enjoy cultural activities such as going to museums and art galleries as well as spending time with friends and family.

I used lockdown to do loads of exercise and lost a stone in weight, which has also reduced my blood pressure.

I'm still avoiding "busy" places, going shopping on weekday mornings, wearing masks in shops, etc.

Not in particular for covid, but I've always been a bit anxious about catching things partly because I'm a teacher and being stuck in a room with rotating groups of teenagers is a germy experience! To try not to catch things too often I stay a healthy weight, eat a lot of vegetables and fruit and wash my hands a lot. These days which I suppose is covid related, I wear a mask in busy indoor locations such as supermarkets. Otherwise I just get on with it knowing that I'll still catch something.

Ventilation should reduce both the probability of catching it and the viral load if you do get infected.

Not for covid, I have always eaten well, taken vitamins and done regular exercise as for me I feel like these things are not optional which a lot of people see them as they are the key to health. I take vitamin c and zinc and vitamin d daily as well as a multi vit. I never suffer with colds etc and if I do get ill I recover very quickly. I have also never been worried about covid but as far as I know I haven’t had it and have done everything available to me that has been open.
