DSis coming from France to UK (with DC) - all double jabbed - what’s the process?

So, I know France changed to not needing to quarantine if double jabbed this week.
But all the advice/guidance/rules I can find is based on a UK person going to France then coming back.

My DSis lives in France and is hoping to come over for a few days (as DBro will also be here) but we’re unsure what she has to do and when.

She is double jabbed with Pfizer & has 2 DC who have also been double jabbed. So I’m pretty sure no quarantine required when she comes to the UK.
What about testing?

Does anyone have a reliable source of info for this?

Any MNetters in France who’ve come over to the UK in the last few days who know the process?

TIA

Adults need pre departure test done in France within 3 days of travel (free for french people to get from laboratories or chemists) and a day 2 test in uk but no quarantine.

Thanks that’s very helpful and I will pass it along.

Doesn’t look too difficult.

Next challenge is getting a Eurostar booking but that’s for her to figure out!

Can I ask for details of the reverse please? What is required to go to France from the U.K.? Have seen conflicting advice. Is it possible to use LFT tests?

@flipflump

If you are double vaccinated then you can travel to France without testing.

You need to fill out a form to swear that you have no symptoms/no recent contact with anyone positive.

Returning to the UK is as @Kingstonmumof1 says above.

Thank you, that’s very helpful.

What happens if you are only there for a weekend? Do you have to get a test as soon as you arrive to travel back?

?France>UK.

The wording of the rules is that before entry to UK you have the day 2 test booked and paid for before arrival in UK.

You enter the code you get when booking onto the PLF which should/might get checked by Border on arrival.

AFAIK there’s no check on exiting the Uk that you had it done so quite what people are doing or planning to for literally a weekend stay (e.g. arrive on Friday, leave on Sunday) I don’t know.

Ah, I get the day 2 test. Just booked one now. But where I am currently, Balkans, I also have to have proof of negative status to fly back, so got a PCR the day before. Is that also case coming back from France, I wonder. I guess I should look at Eurostar website,

If it’s entry to France from UK you are referring to the rules are here:

uk.ambafrance.org/COVID-19-rules-for-travel-between-France-and-the-UK-28918

In short if you are fully vaccinated ATM there is no test requirement but you do need to present a form at French border control saying you have not got Covid and have not been in contact with anybody with symptoms of Covid in the last 14 (?) days.
