Hi,

Our younger DD tested positive for Covid on 22nd July and completed her isolation period yesterday. My DH tested positive on 29th July and is in isolation. My elder daughter and I prepared food while they were isolating. Now I have tested positive today although we were taking all the precautions - like using separate Bathrooms, eating separately, wearing a mask, etc. Our elder one is still negative.

We would really appreciate it if we can get advice on how we should go about isolating in the house now. Can my younger DD catch the virus again? Should I be isolating from my DH ? What additional precautions should my elder DD take?

Thanks in advance

Highly unlikely that younger DD can catch it again so soon and there’s no point isolating from her or DH. Your elder DD may just be lucky and not catch it. A family I know, only the eldest DD and her dad caught it, the other 3 members of family didn’t get it.

If you didn't start symptoms/test positive until after the original ten days was up then technically both your daughters need to do another ten days.
