Double vaccinated, positive PCR

Dh is double vaccinated (Pfizer), felt like he had vestibular neuritis again yesterday morning when he woke up (regular sufferer) and googled to see if any motion sickness tablets would help until he could get a prescription Monday. Stumbled across a news article saying that people presenting to the GP with sudden dizziness like that should be considered as a potential Covid case. So he took a PCR. It's just come back positive. Me and the DC have been tested today because my lateral flow this morning had the very faintest line on it, and I felt it better safe than sorry.

I'm double vaccinated (AZ) but must have low immunity at the moment as currently have shingles! What are my chances of not having it? What are my DCs? One has a birthday soon. I know jabs don't 100% protect you but I so was not expecting this.

So apparently for unvaccinated individuals if you come into contact with Delta you’re pretty much guaranteed to get it. It’s very infectious. I think all the vaccines are still 80% effective against symptomatic disease and then even more so against hospitalisation & death.

So you may well get it, but you should be absolutely fine!

You'll have to wait and see. Double vaccination doesn't stop you from catching covid. If your lat flow was positive, I'd be expecting a positive PCR. Hopefully you will have a mild case.
