I am currently in a trampoline park. It's packed and tables are very close together in the spectator area.
This type of thing is surely going. to cause a spike in the school holidays ?

Why are you there then?

frozendaisy · 30/07/2021 14:49

Yes but you are part of the crowd, everyone else there because kids haven't been anywhere for ages.

Accept the possible or go home. Only choices we all have.

Bobholll · 30/07/2021 15:19

🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

You are there too so probs best not to be too worried! If the weather stays miserable, I imagine cases will rise as people migrate indoors. If the weather is nice, it’ll help. People naturally do outdoor activities if it’s warm & not raining!

Chillychangchoo · 30/07/2021 15:28

So why are you also there?

Flowerlane · 30/07/2021 15:38

As others have said you are also part of the crowd😂 did you expect to have it to yourself on a rainy day when everyone wants to do indoor activities?
Also the venue doesn’t have to have restrictions anymore (since the 19th).

If you don’t like it then stay away and let others enjoy it.

Katie517 · 30/07/2021 15:39

Did you expect to go and you be the only person there?

These posts infuriate me, you wanted to take your kids out to do something fun after the shit show of a year and a half we have all had, well surprise surprise so did lots of other people. There are no restrictions now, it’s a rainy day in the school holidays what did you really expect? You are either comfortable with it on which case no need to post, or not comfortable in which case find something else to do that is less popular or stay at home!

HalloHello · 30/07/2021 15:43

In Scotland, we are 5 weeks into our summer holidays with our restrictions as they are and no spike yet. There will always be pockets of spreading here and there but soon there will be no restrictions at all and we will have to live with that.

GreenWheat · 30/07/2021 16:00

Things are returning to normal. If you don't like it stay home.

wordsareveryunnecessary · 30/07/2021 16:54

Wow so many people being sarcastic and unkind again. DS was given a voucher for his birthday so we went with his friend. Didn't expect it to be packed and at full capacity

If you don't like it, you'll have to stay in. Social distancing measures are over. You cannot really complain when you are there too though. Thats just silly.

I’m intrigued then what you expected?

It’s the school holidays, a majority of the uk have terrible weather so indoor attractions are more favourable.

You could have used the birthday voucher when holidays were over and it was quieter.

To be honest I don’t think anyone has been horrible or unkind to you, they have just pointed out the obvious. Confused

NuffSaidSam · 30/07/2021 17:15

'Didn't expect it to be packed and at full capacity'.

Social distancing measures are over, it's a rainy day in the school holidays, of course it's packed.

Fair enough if you didn't realise, we all make mistakes. Just avoid that sort of thing in future if it makes you uncomfortable.

You know all restrictions have ended, so I'm not sure why you didn't expect it to be busy.
Neverrains · 30/07/2021 18:54

It’s school holidays and the weather is shit. Of course indoor places are going to be rammed 🤷🏻‍♀️.
Doubt it’s much different to kids being in a classroom with 30 other people though so can’t see how it’s going to cause a spike.
