Yes i know how long its been and i should know but in exhausted and i don't

DH was last in socially distanced office Friday with woman who has covid, confirmed today from yesterday's test.

Do the rest of the office need to isolate?

Depends on when she got symptoms and exactly how socially distanced they realy were.

PurpleDaisies · 27/07/2021 09:44

Not officially until told to by test and trace but he might want to be super careful about distancing and who he has contact with.

As the previous poster days, it depends when her symptoms started and if he counts as a close contact.

Quartz2208 · 27/07/2021 09:51

It depends if her symptoms started Sunday (yes) or Monday (no)

SleepingStandingUp · 27/07/2021 10:09

She had a negative test Thursday and had symptoms Sat so tested Sunday

Since symptoms started Saturday, anyone she was in close contact with on Thursday, Friday or Saturday needs to isolate

SleepingStandingUp · 27/07/2021 10:18

Ok thanks. I'll check the specifics on close contact. They're in a fairly empty office so are spaced out and have the shields up around desks i think.

It comes down to close contact then for him

InMySpareTime · 27/07/2021 12:42

The main issue is whether the office is well ventilated. Even in a socially distanced office space, after several hours in a closed room everyone is breathing the C+ person's air eventually.

PineappleWilson · 27/07/2021 12:58

I'd say not, based on our office unless he was in particularly close proximity to her / not wearing a mask. If he was 2m away and had perspex screens or wore a mask, he'll be fine.

NotSonicTheHedgehog · 27/07/2021 16:46

If there is a Perspex screen it’s usually not considered close contact

fadingfast · 27/07/2021 16:56

If you are more than 2 metres away at all times then I don’t think you are counted as a contact (even though over a prolonged period of time you could easily be exposed, depending on ventilation etc). If you have been in close contact (ie less than a metre) for any period of time, you should isolate. Between 1 and 2 metres I think you have to isolate if your total period of exposure is 15 mins or more.

Even if not technically classed as a contact it’s probably still a good idea to limit contacts and test regularly until the 10 days is up.

Ive ordered more LFTs and a proper one so he can test. This time last year we were shielding eldest son so it's not as stress free as mod 40s and double jabbed would ordinarily be
