Huge gap between vaccines

So I had my first AstraZeneca vaccine 3rd march just as the blood clot stuff started to happen. I have a blood disorder and have had a stroke 2 years ago.
So 6 weeks later I contacted my GP about whether I would be safe with the 2nd does. They decided to write to my haematologist about it and that took another few weeks in the end they said yes I should be fine to have it.
Booked it but then got too scared to have it so cancelled, then have just left it for a while as it was triggering my anxiety.
Anyway now have it booked again for this wednesday. Is it still okay to have to 2nd vaccine as its been months and months since my first?
Anyone else had a long gap in between?

It’s fine to have a long gap and will not affect your ability to get the second vaccine.

I heard (bbc radio) a study into AZ vaccine said a longer gap gave increased immunity. One person on the trial had a 40+ week gap.

Oh that's good news thanks very much

@Lonelydaisy Hi funnily enough I'm in the same boat. My first vaccination was at the beginning of March. I'm still not 100% confident in getting AstraZeneca but have been thinking about contacting my GP to see if I can get Pfizer for the second dose. I've seen that the mixing trials went pretty well as it created more antibodies than two AstraZeneca
