How long would it take from catching covid to passing it on to someone else?

I've been accused of potentially risking passing on Covid to my so called friend who met with me at a pub (in the beer garden) and when I got talking to some other people at another table then came back to her she accused me of potentially risking her catching covid from them.

I didn't make bodily contact with these people so this is impossible right?
It was like 10 mins from when I was with the other people to when I was with her and I haven't seen her since.

Did you collect some covid breath from them and then blow it on her?

With the new Delta variant a study said something in the order of 2.9 days to become infectious and 3.7 days to get symptoms. Sounds like she's a bit over-wrought; does she usually struggle with excessive anxiety and turn it into aggression or is this new?

I hope not.... and by the time I walked back over the breath would have dissipated in the air surely?

She's gone completely barmy and it's led to a massive fall out.... wish we had met in a park with a bottle of wine now but she agreed to meet in the pub.

The irony is I have 2 primary school age children who would be much more likely to pass it to me and time to incubate than some randos in a beer garden..

She sounds like she’s suffering from severe anxiety. Has she been out much during the pandemic?

She was extremely anxious last year but has been double jabbed since then. Also she is due to go on holiday abroad in 10 days so is probably panicking about having to isolate. When the people at the other table went over to her (they were friendly but merry) she told them to f off and it led to a scene... it's been horrible, she's like a totally different person.
