I'm not looking for medical advice, I'm just curious to learn about other people's experiences.

If you had to seek medical assistance for Covid. How bad were your symptoms?

I'm on day 7 of a positive test and feeling sorry for myself. I've already spoken with my GP and If things get any worse I'll need to go in due to being 8 months pregnant. The thought of being stuck in a hospital in this heat makes me feel even more Ill Sad I'm hoping I've reached the peak of the bad symptoms and things get better tomorrow.

Feel free to share your experiences.

Keep your oximeter close by

If your breathing gets worse ring 999

They will be able to assist you

We had all been really ill with it

When my dad was bad 999 we're really helpful and talked me through a few things

Agree with the list above but also please contact your midwife if you are concerned.

My dad had to go into hospital after about 2 weeks of having symptoms.

My mum was fine after having symptoms for 20 days. So it can drag on.

We had the ambulance out twice for Dad, shocked he didn’t go in the first time they came out he wasn’t sick enough. At that point he had had a temperature for 10 days, hadn't eaten for a few days was very lethargic. 48 hours later called again at this point he had no idea where he was! Very very out of it!
He never really suffered lung issues it was more just being so physically knackered. He spent 48 hours in hospital on a drip for fluids, and antibiotics and receiving oxygen. He took a while to fully recover but he just needed that help.
But he was very poorly before they’d let him in!

We called 111 for my dad (65 years) when he was feeling very poorly, not eating, temp, trouble breathing. Ambulance came out and they were so nice, Sony lots of tests including ecg and said he was okay and he didn't need to go to hospital. Looking back it was probably a lot of anxiety. He started feeling better after about 10 days.

Do call 111 though they are lovely and will put your mind at ease
