How likely do you think a school trip to the French Alps will be in February 2022?

Just that really.

I know it’s impossible to know. I’m just wondering if it’s really worth my while paying the deposit this week (£300) for a trip to France which will be for secondary school aged children. (I’m not rich by any means, my child has never been on a plane so she’s excited to have the opportunity to go but I wonder if I’m wasting my time on something that will probably not go ahead).

Looks like the decision has been taken out of my hands. Rang to check who I should be sending the deposit to and they’ve said she doesn’t have a place as I didn’t pay the deposit in time (this is despite me chasing the school up two weeks ago and being told she ‘probably’ had a place and to pay the deposit by the end of the week).

Thanks for everyone who’s given their thoughts on this. Last school trip we booked up for (a European cycling trip) was cancelled for 2020 and then rescheduled for 2021. Heard nothing from the school so I cancelled that one and got the deposit back. It’s a shame for my daughter but I guess it’s all a bit uncertain at the moment.

I wouldn't no.

Ah - well, at least you've saved some money, and I really don't think it'll go ahead anyway.

@newnortherner111 Britian had a massive row with Iceland over fish, enough for British warships to be sent to Iceland. It only ended when America forced the UK to stop due to the importance of iceland to cold War defence issues.
