Do we have to isolate from Monday??

I’ve looked on the gov website and can’t find any info on isolation from the 19th. What happens if a family member has symptoms, does the whole house still need to self isolate? Does anyone know. TIA

Yes. Isolation rules don't change until mid August.

Yes, it's been badly communicated and its going to be 'fun' next week.

Isolation if a close contact until 16th August is the current plan.

No worries, I've had lots of parents saying that from Monday the school children will not need to isolate. We've had to send an email to all parents. The government have definitely failed to communicate.

I'm confused but if me or husband test postive in September covid we still send kids into school

QueenStromba · 15/07/2021 15:30

I would hope they're still going to have isolation for household members.

Yes, come 16th August that's the plan, I mean its obviously going to go brilliantly.

Our school has confirmed that children will not need to isolate, unless track and trace ask them to. They're keeping bubbles the last few days and are asking if there's a positive case in a bubble, that parents do a LFT every morning before their children come into school. I wonder how it's going to work with school staff. Surely, if they've had close contact and can still come into work, they'll be free to shop, buy petrol, go for a walk.

So from Monday it isn’t the responsibility of the school to inform close contacts. Test and trace will contact the positive case and they will be asked to provide names and contact details of people they can remember being in close contact with.
