Hi all. I’ve recently tested positive for Covid. I’ve had my first dose of the vaccine and am under 40 and pretty healthy ( healthy BMI, exercise at least 3 times a week and no underlying health conditions) . However, I am absolutely wiped out by this. I can hardly breathe. If I move and try to walk about I feel like I’m going to pass out. I can’t eat. My whole body aches. I have double vision and am so foggy I can’t think straight. Even typing this is a struggle. I don’t know what I’m after really…maybe just positive experiences of this passing. I tested positive and started getting symptoms on Saturday. Is it likely to start getting better from here?
I am very aware and very grateful that I am getting off a lot more lightly than a lot of people have though.

Please try not to worry. Get plenty of rest and liquids. You don't have any risk factors so I'm sure it will pass soon for you.

Me and my adult dd have both just had it. Her 1 jab. Me 2..
We took 2 x paracetamol and 1 antihistamine every 4 hours... Lots of hot drinks. Cold drinks made the throat dry and more coughing...lots of sleep op. Cool bedroom..
Try not to worry...

If you are concerned about your breathing please call the NHS or your GP. It might be worth getting your oxygen levels checked.

A friend of mine was the same a few weeks ago. She tested positive last year too, so it seems she's had it twice. Symptomless last year, but she was very poorly despite double vaccination. She had paramedics out at one point as her doctor was worried about her oxygen levels. She refused to go into hospital. After a week she was slowly starting to feel better. By day 14 she did come out for a meal with our group but she was very tired and still had pretty much no taste or smell. Her taste is starting to come back now into week three.

Thanks everyone. Think I’m just going to ride it out. I do feel ever so slightly better this morning.

Rest rest rest
Fluids
Try not to stress - fear won't help recovery
I rewatched all seasons of line of duty when I had it in March 2020!
