Would you go an visit a friend or relative in these circumstances? I am not self isolating, neither are my kids. But lots of the children at my kids' school are self isolating. In other words friends of my kids. Whole year groups are off.
As far as I see it, it's only a matter of time before my kids have to self isolate. Therefore they could uknowingly be brewing it and so could I although we all have negative LFTs. But given how unreliable LFTs are, surely it's a risk.
Friend/relative fully vaccinated and not CV etc. But if we are brewing it we could pass it on surely.

I would go.

If you don’t want to go if there’s a chance of being presympomatic/asymptomatic and passing it on then clearly you shouldn’t go. But you’re doing nothing wrong by going.

OP, I think you need to be completely frank with your friend about the situation and let your friend decide whether they still want you to visit.

Thanks both. Good call.
@lilyPond2 I was completely frank - and we have decided on a socially distanced walk.
