That is, really. My teenager DC had it and they are better but I've been in bed for four days.
This morning, I thought I feel better but then a very strong backache started. I'm taking paracetamol, vitamins...
If you have any tips, please let me know.
Thanks a lot.

Water and painkillers and rest!

Thanks. This is what I've been doing for the last four days but the virus is not retreating yet.

Isn’t the backache more likely to be because you’ve been in bed for 4 days? Beds are killers on your posture. Get yourself up & onto a comfy sofa, take some painkillers & watch some films or something. There’s really nothing that can make it better quicker, much like any viral illness. Just rest up, take vitamins & eat loadsa cake! 😄 Time will do its thing!

You can’t make a virus ‘retreat’, all you can do is manage the symptoms. So paracetamol, fluid and rest. 4-7 days is a pretty standard length of time for a virus to remain. Maybe some gentle exercise to help your back.

Staying in bed is really bad for your back as well as other muscles. Google muscle wastage from bed rest, it's why people are encouraged out of bed asap in hospitals.
Do your best to get up and move a little, even if only from chair to sofa.

I found hot baths helpful for easing all the aches and pains.

If you can get up a little movement is advisable if you feel strong enough.

I had Covid in January and on the days I felt able to I sat out in the garden for a little while to get fresh air.

Lots of rest, fluid and a supply of tempting snacks so that you manage to eat a bit even if you don't have much appetite.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks all for your replies and advice. I try to change my resting positions, sit and walk around the garden. Keep repeating to myself that it will pass.
