Second vax. Very worried

Hi all. Name changed but longtimer here.
I happily had my first AZ dose seven weeks ago. No two is next week. However, I am very worried as I have only just 'recovered' from the first one. I had the expected two days of grimness, which is fine, more than fine with that. Unfortunately though, extreme exhalation took six weeks to lift. I was incapacitated by it.
I'm now scared of the second. I cannot go through another six weeks of that voluntarily. It'd feel like I was making myself ill?
I've reported on yellow card and I know I'm far from alone on this.
Wwyd?
Many thanks for reading!

Depends how much you need it . After my first one in February I got constant headaches and dizziness then it went away about 3 weeks ago and I was stupid to get the 2nd one last week. It’s all back sadly. But I needed it for work. If I didn’t need it I wouldn’t be having it.

I was horribly unwell after my first and it set off an RA flare too, which was fun. However after my second I felt nothing apart from a little bit tired the next day (I did have two glasses of wine the night before though and I'm such a lightweight these days, they could have been the culprit). AZ side effects are far less prevalent after the second dose, apparently, and for me it was definitely the case.

Firstly, if you haven’t already, you need to discuss it with your GP. Six weeks is a long time and I would expect basic investigations at this point.

If you’ve already done that I don’t envy your decision. The anecdata is the the second AZ vaccine doesn’t cause much in the way of side effects (the reverse is true for Pfizer). I suppose you need to weigh up the balance of the benefits of complete vaccination, the cons of partial vaccination alongside feeling the way you do now vs feeling worse.

I can’t say what I’d do because I don’t know exactly how you’re feeling but I suspect I would be swayed by the benefits of full vaccination and possibility of remaining at the same level of symptoms.

I was in a terrible state after my first and felt rough for weeks. I had the grimness you described followed by awful headaches and brain fog, rash all across my chest and hearing issues up until the beginning of last week. Well I had my second last Sunday and apart from feeling a little tired on the day I've so far touch wood had nothing else. I agree with others to discuss with your Gp.

Thanks very much for the replies, all much appreciated. Still unsure but my GP is helpful so that's good.
Not sure what to do yet..

I was bad after my first one, exhausted, low mood, feeling very off for a few weeks. Second one I had nothing except a couple of tired days.

Good to hear it was okay second time round! I genuinely felt like I did after I had glandular fever as a youngster. Utterly drained, hopeless. It was horrible.
I've spoken to my GP who has said I can postpone for up to four weeks, so that if I am laid up it won't be during our (Scottish) summer holidays.
