What happens if you're already incubating Covid when you get vaccinated?

Nothing apart from you develop covid. Vaccine takes 2 weeks to give protection as your body needs time to create the antibodies. If you had already contracted covid then the vaccine cannot stop it developing.

My niece had her first vaccine last week and unbeknownst to her she had Covid at the time. She had Covid 6 months ago so she put her mild (non covid) symptoms down to something else. A day later Covid symptoms did develop though.

I did some reading about it and it seems that there is a possibility the vaccine “may” not be as effective if you get it whilst infected with covid, but honestly I’m not sure how accurate that is, it was literally one article that mentioned it.

(Oh, and I think it wouldn’t really matter because there are studies showing that one dose of Pfizer acts as a booster to those with natural infection, so if this first one doesn’t work as effectively as it should, then the 2nd will because she’s currently infected with covid so the 2nd jab will boost natural immunity) Smile

That’s my understanding anyway.
